Air Lt. Smart, who first flew in the RAF in helicopters during Indonesian/ Malaysia war. Then in Bahrain with 78 SQD RAF Sharjah. He joined the RRAF in 1972 and flew Alouettes. Took part in Ops Hurricane and flew in SAS troops on ops. On the 15/02/73 he crashed his Alouette on a low level recce, killing himself and his co-pilot. Both log books. Rare.
